Readings and Rituals is an evolving practice performed by Adam Moore, Abby Nocon, Erin Robinsong, Sophie Seita and Florence Uniacke.  Writers, among other things, they like the precision and mess of communication, the life of words on the page, in their mouths, in their ears, through their bodies and out into space, the queer and neurodiverse architecture(s) and ecology (/ies) of language. They collect and gather to play, rest, and regenerate curating from vocalisations, writing, reading, listening and moving. The first video documents their first sharing of original, published and in process writing and communal rituals at My Lady Garden, Dalston.

Their first commission saw them performing an evening of readings on Earth Day, Friday 22 April 2022, responding to the exhibition Iris at Large Glass Gallery, London, curated by Edward C Ball. Exhibition works by Caline Aoun, Anna Barham, Alice Channer, Melissa Gordon, Adia Wahid, Andrea Zittel. Readings by Adam Moore, Abby Nocon, Sophie Seita, and Florence Uniacke. Filmed by Rosie Reed-Gold. Information about Iris at Large Glass here

In the summer, commissioned by Newham Word Festival 2022, they curated Readings and Rituals beginning their performance at the Royal Docks Floating Garden. Designed by Biomatrix, the garden measures 315m2 and includes over 4,000 aquatic plants, a beautiful place of biodiversity beside the Good Hotel London who hosted the evening programme of readings and screenings.

In December they were commissioned to perform at A Gathering at Independent Dance as part of the International Festival of Learning 2 (IFL.2) at Siobhan Davies Studios. This was their first durational performance with expanded installation practices.

Their work was featured by Biomatrix in February 2023.
